Frequently Asked Questions

Questions,answered.

The things people ask us most before booking. If your question isn't here, call us — we'd rather answer it than have you guess.

Booking a ride

How far ahead should I book?

For a one-off appointment, 24 to 48 hours' notice is ideal. For recurring treatment like dialysis or weekly therapy, tell us the schedule and we'll set it up as a standing booking weeks in advance — that's the most reliable way to guarantee a driver.

Can I book the same day?

Often, yes — especially for hospital discharges. Same-day availability depends on where our drivers already are, so for anything urgent, call us rather than using the form. We'll tell you straight away whether we can make it.

What if my appointment time changes?

Call us as soon as you know. We'll move the pickup to suit. Clinics run late and procedures overrun — that's normal, and it's why our drivers wait rather than leaving after a set time.

Do you take recurring bookings?

Yes, and they're the core of what we do. Dialysis three times a week, therapy every Tuesday — we hold the same slot and assign the same driver wherever we can. You don't need to rebook each session.

During your ride

Can a family member ride with us?

Yes — a caregiver, aide, family member or companion travels with the passenger at no extra charge on any booking. After a procedure or for someone with dementia, we'd encourage it.

Will the driver wait during my appointment?

Yes. That's the difference between us and a taxi or rideshare. Your driver stays through the appointment and takes you home afterwards, so you're not coordinating a return trip from the waiting room.

Can you help me in and out of the vehicle?

Yes. Drivers are trained to assist passengers with mobility needs, including help from your front door, into the vehicle and through the clinic entrance. Tell us what assistance you need when booking so we send an appropriate driver.

How far will you drive?

Most of our rides are local, but we also handle long-distance trips to out-of-town treatment centers and specialists. Rides are arranged in all 50 states. Tell us the route and we'll quote it.

Costs and coverage

How much does a ride cost?

Pricing depends on distance, the type of trip and any assistance needed. Call us or send the booking form with your pickup and clinic addresses and we'll give you a clear, all-in quote — no surprise fuel, waiting-time or gate fees at the end.

Do you accept insurance?

We don't bill insurance directly. Many plans and Medicaid programs do cover non-emergency medical transport, so it's worth checking whether your plan reimburses you — we can provide an itemised receipt for that purpose.

Is there a cancellation fee?

Things come up, and we'd rather you cancel than feel stuck. Call us as early as you can if plans change — we'll do our best to accommodate. Ask about the specifics for your booking when you confirm.

What if I have an emergency?

Call 911. We're non-emergency medical transport — we get you to scheduled appointments safely, but we're not an ambulance service and shouldn't be used for urgent medical situations.

Still have a question?

Call us and ask. We'd rather spend five minutes answering than have you book a ride that isn't right for you.
